Lisa Carlisle at the Vampires for Valentines Blog Hop

What a fun blog hop for Valentines Day — vampires are sexy! The way they talk, their intense gazes, their insatiable lust… I hope you discover a hot vampire story to read this Valentine’s Day during this hop. I know I’ll be adding some to my list.

I’d to introduce you to my paranormal erotic romance series with Ellora’s Cave, called Underground Encounters. Supernatural creatures, such as vampires, shapeshifters, and humans with extraordinary abilities meet in an underground goth club called–wait for it–Vamps! I couldn’t resist. 😉

“…Get ready to be hooked on the series.” ~ Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

Smoldering Nights

Smoldering NightsNike loves visiting the goth club Vamps—she can exchange her firefighter uniform for a slinky fantasy outfit. There she runs into the man she’d been admiring from afar at a rock climbing gym. He’s been the star of all her  fantasies, so is it any wonder they end up in his private room upstairs? Just when things begin to heat up, Michel’s enemies appear.

Only Michel isn’t an ordinary mortal. And someone from his past is on the hunt for vengeance. Michel and Nike are forced on the run and hide out in a coastal cottage in Maine. They can’t resist their attraction and spend the nights exploring each others’ bodies while trying to sort out how they feel about each other. Can they overcome their differences to be together? And how will they evade the predators who are chasing them?

Fiery Nights

He may own a Goth nightclub, but Tristan Stone avoids people—the darkness that surrounds them drains him. When he sees Maya for the first time, alone on the dance floor, a light surrounds her. He must discover who she is and what gives her power. He wants her, must have her.

Maya sees a man with haunting eyes watching her from the back of the club. She feels their connection, but thinks it’s merely physical attraction. Their passion ignites, overpowering them, and they must work together to understand their connection. The heat of their passion could send their world up in flames.

  1. vamps vs werewolves–I have to admit I’m more into shifters (Love cat shifters best, but werewolves will do just as well 😉 ). Not that I have a problem with a sexy, strong vampire (sorry, but vamps only sparkle just before they burst into flames!) if the shifters are evil or not around.

I’m having a hard time picking the sexiest vamp though. One (set) that I feel gets overlooked and should have had more development/story time, is The Wicked Truth (Truth and Wicked) from the later Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton. These two brothers have that dark, warrior, brooding, wounded-soul thing going for them all the way. I really wish that Laurell K. Hamilton had written more about/of/for them in the stories.

    1. I love feline shifters, too, so much so that my next two books have shifters (one’s a mountain lion shifter). Werewolves, not so much, although there are a couple I like (Alcide, Lupin).
      Thanks for the comment, Victoria.

  2. I prefer werewolves. Warm-blooded, loyal, pack animals, caring. They are still basically good creatures. Vampires–not so much, lol. No loyalty!

  3. I love shifters but I will always go back to Vampires everytime, they are the first paranormal I fell in love with. And they are just so darn sexy.

  4. I love them both. right now I am reading JR Wards BDB series so vampires are on my mind but love Nalini Singh’s PSY/Changling series as well with shifters.

  5. I love both, but prefer wolves more. I fell in love with them while reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton. My favorite vampire would have to be Bones from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. Thanks for the great giveaway. You are a new author for me. I love to read and always looking for new books to check out.

  6. I love the Vampires, The shapeshifters, the werewolves and the demons Too.
My favorite vampire is Lothaire from Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dars Series.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  7. Ummm…. Valentine’s with Vampires. Sounds like the perfect combo to me. Especially if I can get a little Eric Northman (a la Alexander Skarsgard) sprinkled on top!

    Happy V-Day, Player!

  8. I actually really like vampires and the occasional werewolf story.

My favourite vampire is Eric from Sookie Stackhouse books (I definitely prefer book version to tv version)

  9. Vampires are my preferred paranormal subject…since I was a kid, actually. (Sparkly vamps need not apply, though.) Weres in general are just too possessive and overbearing for my taste. Protective good; “owning” someone bad.

As for vampire faves in literature, I have to say that I love Mircea and Louis-Cesare from Karen Chance, Gareth from the Vampire Empire trilogy from Clay and Susan Griffith, Saint-Germain from Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, and several others.

  10. Bonnie Hilligoss

Damon from the Vampire Diaries is probably my favorite, although he can be a real jerk most of the time. I used to be for vamps, but lately am leaning toward shifters. It really depends how the character is portrayed. Thanks for joining the hop!

  11. I have so many favs. it would take forever to name all of them. Eric from True Blood is one, V + Z from The BDB are others. theres many many more. And I love all of them, vamps, shifters, pretty much everything. 🙂

  12. There is no way that I can pick just one favorite vampire, I have a long list of just my favorite series!
Vampires are my favorite paranormal creature, anyway.
Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  13. I do love me some Eric Northman!! Who doesnt love a gorgeous blond Viking Adonis Vampire? Oh and the vampires from The Lost Boys!! Now THOSE are vampires!! I also really like shifters!

  14. Now this is a Blog Hop I can really sink my teeth into! I LOVE Vampire’s and when you mix them in with Romance Novels the result is intoxicating! Who doesn’t love Vampires! They are usually handsome, sometimes dark and brooding, have sexy names like Sebastian – Damien – Alexander, and they have been alone so long and searching for their Bride, so they can have that one perfect woman to love! Some of my absolute favorite Vampires are :

Lothaire Daciano from the book Lothaire. Lothaire is sexy, wicked, confidant, and has been waiting for his Bride for Eons.

Ian MacPhie from the book All I Want For Christmas Is A Vampire. Ian is a Highland warrior and a Vampire. Sexy with an accent and a kilt.

Sebastien Newcombe from the book Phantom Shadows. Bastien is a misunderstood and sexy badass. He just loves to push everyone’s buttons.

Javier from the book Covet. Javier desires her above all others.

See what I mean….I LOVE VAMPIRES!

    1. Yes, you do! I’ll have to check out some of these books, especially the one who’s misunderstood and a sexy bad ass. 🙂
