Is Bigger Better? MFRW Home for the Holidays Blog Hop

bloghopsWe had a fake tree growing up, but once I met my husband he introduced me to the tradition of shopping for a real Christmas tree.

What did you think I was talking about? 😉

Each year, the trees seem to get bigger and bigger, swallowing up part of my living room and blocking me from one of my book cases. Sometimes I stay home and make hot cocoa while he goes out with the kids, but this year I went with them to “make sure they don’t get a tree that’s too big.”

I went with them all right. And I pointed out a tree that I thought would work nice. They all agreed and we brought it home. Once we tried setting it up in the living room, my husband exclaimed, “This is the biggest tree we’ve ever had in here. I don’t think it’s going to fit!”

Whoops! So if you shop for a tree this time of year, tell me your tips for picking the right tree.

I’d also like to share my latest release that just came out with Ellora’s Cave. It’s a short, hot paranormal romance featuring a very sexy gargoyle. I love the idea of protective gargoyles.

gargoylesembrace_msrGargoyle’s Embrace

Fifth in the Underground Encounters series.

Tracy isn’t sure why she’s drawn to a particular gargoyle statue in the Goth club where she works. After the stone takes human form to protect her from her abusive ex, she brings the handsome, naked male to her apartment. It’s impossible to ignore the seductive appeal of a man sculpted like a Viking warrior.

Danton has only hours in human form to spend with the woman he has hungered for. He’s convinced what’s between them is more than hot sex, but he needs to convince Tracy of that before he turns back to stone.

  1. Lol Lisa! We’ve had both the artificial and the real trees…I personally prefer the real trees too but the rest of the family has
“allergies” so we are stuck with the artificial tree…next time – measure how much space you are willing to use for the tree and take the tape measure with you to the tree farm:)
